About the Opportunity
We are proud to partner with a highly reputable and well-established company in Appleton, WI, to hire a full-time Human Resource Coordinator. This is a fantastic direct-hire opportunity for someone who is passionate about recruiting, employee engagement, and supporting HR operations across multiple locations.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the HR Manager, plant leadership, and employees across all Lamination and Rollguard locations to ensure an exceptional employee experience. If you enjoy a mix of recruiting, onboarding, payroll prep, and HR administrative support—and you thrive in a people-focused environment—this could be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Do
Hourly Recruiting & Talent Support
Partner with hiring managers to identify hourly staffing needs.
Create compelling job postings and help shape the company’s employer brand.
Review applications, conduct phone screens, and coordinate onsite interviews.
Build and maintain relationships with local recruiting agencies.
Travel occasionally for job fairs and to support additional locations.
Onboarding, Engagement & Offboarding
Manage new hire paperwork, verify pre-start documents, and deliver benefit orientations.
Administer new hire surveys, stay interviews, and support employee engagement initiatives.
Process employee changes, terminations, COBRA documents, and participate in exit interviews.
Payroll & Administrative Support
Review and verify hourly timesheets bi-weekly.
Prepare payroll reports including adjustments, garnishments, and flexible spending updates.
Assist in 401(k) enrollment communications, United Way updates, bonus programs, and vacation accruals.
Maintain accurate employee files and support various annual HR processes including Open Enrollment.
HR Communications & Culture Support
Track and share employee milestone dates (birthdays, anniversaries).
Serve as a key contributor on the GNC Cares Committee—helping coordinate events and community activities.
Support leadership with seniority reports, staffing data, and monthly reporting as needed.
What You Bring
High school diploma required; Associate Degree in HR preferred.
3-5 years in an HR coordinating role
Strong communication and customer-service mindset.
Ability to interpret written policies, write clear correspondence, and present information effectively.
Comfortable with basic math and general problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Working Environment
Office setting with moderate noise levels.
Primarily seated work with occasional walking and lifting up to 10 lbs.
