CMM Programmer – 1st Shift
About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our Quality Lab team on first shift. In this role, you’ll be responsible for inspecting metal stamped and machined parts at various stages of production to ensure all products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform first piece, in-process, and receiving inspections using hand inspection tools and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Measure parts to customer specifications and accurately document inspection data.
Clearly communicate inspection results to Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Technical teams.
Support Engineering, New Product Development, R&D, and Manufacturing departments with quality initiatives.
Assist with contamination testing, gage R&R studies, and SPC capability studies.
Contribute to Quality Department activities including corrective actions, audits, training, PPAP, PFMEA, and customer complaint resolution.
Learn to program and edit existing CMM programs as part of ongoing development.
Qualifications
Required:
Experience using precision inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore micrometers, and optical comparators.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with PC-DMIS software.
CMM programming experience.
SPC analytical experience (Minitab preferred).
