Accounts Receivable Specialist
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Are you someone who thrives on accuracy, follow-through, and keeping accounts in order? We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist who takes ownership of the billing and collections process and understands the impact timely cash flow has on the business. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who enjoys working with numbers, collaborating across teams, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
What You’ll Do
Prepare, review, and distribute customer invoices accurately and on schedule
Monitor accounts for past-due balances and follow up on outstanding payments
Process incoming payments (checks, credit cards, and electronic transfers)
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger and ensure proper posting
Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account variances
Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices, disputes, and payment plans
Prepare AR aging and collection reports for internal review
Work closely with sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate billing
Support month-end close and audit activities related to accounts receivable
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting
Strong working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail with excellent accuracy and follow-through
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
