Position Overview
The Technical Engineer plays a key role in supporting the design, development, and application of AboveAir’s HVAC products. This position bridges engineering, manufacturing, and customer-facing functions, ensuring that our systems meet performance expectations and project requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for HVAC technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise on AboveAir HVAC products to internal teams, customers, and channel partners.
- Support the design, testing, and validation of new and existing products, including airflow, refrigeration, and control systems.
- Review project specifications, submittals, and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with product capabilities and industry standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting field issues, analyzing root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges and improve product quality.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, wiring diagrams, and performance data.
- Participate in product improvement initiatives, leveraging customer feedback and field performance insights.
- Provide training and technical support for sales teams, service technicians, and end users.
- Ensure all engineering activities align with safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
- 2–5 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or related manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, airflow principles, and HVAC system components.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Familiarity with controls, PLCs, and building automation systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
