Position Title: Level 3 CNC Machinist
Location: Rancho Dominguez, CA
Duration: FTE (Direct)
Salary: USD $30-39.60/Hr Full time
Who we are looking for / Requirements:
- 7 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, perform own set-ups and machine the part to drawings and specifications
- Proficient in the use of machinist hand tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to machine and measure /- 0.001” or less tolerances
- Ability to design and make complex tooling and fixtures with guidance and approval
- Ability to do complex programming using CAD/CAM with guidance and approval
- Possesses the written, verbal and interaction skills necessary to work both independently and cooperatively
- Willing to learn new machines and software
Preferred Experience:
- Must have experience using CAD/CAM systems, preferably Auto Desk Fusion 360 or NX
- Graduate in a machine tool technology program, machinist apprenticeship program or completion of a Trade School program
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and machine parts to ±0.001" tolerances.
- Create and modify complex CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
- Design and build tooling and fixtures to support production.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and make necessary adjustments.
- Improve machining processes, tooling, and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and work independently or with the production team.
