What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist - HAAS Mill (Level I and II) position at LV CNC?
LV CNC is seeking experienced CNC HAAS Mill Machinists – Level I and Level II to join our precision machining team.
HAAS CNC MILL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Candidates will be considered for Level I or Level II based on demonstrated experience and technical capability.
- Operate HAAS CNC mills to customer drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, job travelers, and work instructions
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Monitor tooling and machining conditions to maintain quality
- Maintain required production, inspection, and traceability documentation
- Level II: Independently perform machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, workholding, and offsets
- Level II: Make basic program adjustments and troubleshoot machining/tooling issues
- Previous hands-on HAAS CNC Mill experience – REQUIRED
- Experience in a precision CNC machining environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Proficiency with standard machining inspection equipment
- Working knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining practices
- Level II: Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience or equivalent demonstrated skill
- Level II: Must be able to independently set up and operate CNC mills
- CAD/CAM experience, including Fusion 360, is a plus
