This is a single-subject math position. The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction that promotes academic growth, critical thinking, and a positive learning environment for students in grades 7–8. The teacher designs and implements rigorous lessons aligned with the California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, uses data to inform instruction, and differentiates instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students. In addition, the program will offer an advanced path with a 7th and 8th grade integrated option that provides students the opportunity to take Algebra as an 8th grader. As a member of ABLE's collaborative charter school community, the Middle School Math Teacher provides meaningful real world connections, fosters strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, upholds high expectations for student achievement and behavior, and actively contributes to a culture of academic excellence, equity, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics education, committed to student success, and dedicated to preparing students for high school readiness and lifelong learning.
