Job Summary
Being an Interventionist is an exciting position! At ABLE Charter School our Interventionists provide Tier 3 instruction to students who are at least one year below grade level in ELA, as measured by their STAR Assessment scores.
Requirements / Qualifications
• tb clearance and DOJ background check as required by law • possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university – preferably in english or education related subject • valid California teaching credential preferred. • experience working with children, especially younger students including the proven ability to manage student behavior and to build rapport with students • demonstrated strength in math and numeracy and ability to effectively support students in those areas • facility for using technology and instructional technology including competence with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with student information systems, online curricula and learning programs, and management platforms • ability to provide support for students in a standards-based learning environment • exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Valid California driver's license or ability to use alternative means of transportation to meet requirements that require travel away from campus. Alternative means of transportation shall be reasonably comparable in time or travel costs to driving. Alternatives include ride-hailing services, taxis, carpooling, bicycling, or walking.
