Develop the innovative multi-year product strategy roadmap for various Abercrombie & Kent product lines, including Small Group Journeys, Expedition Cruise, Tailormade, and Villa,s ensuring alignment with AKTG’s revenue and profit expansion goals. Ensure product offering meets global market demands and aligns with global brand values. Design, implement, and evolve global product standards ensuring alignment and consistent delivery across the business.

Position Summary

Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Identify and evaluate new strategic business opportunities that will enhance existing or create new business lines for the global business
- Leverage the best product creators across the business to define a globally relevant product offering whilst meeting source market unique requirements
- Design and implement a suite of global product standards that define the A&K travel experience and ensure that the standards are consistent worldwide
- Meet all established company financial goals
- Financial responsibility and accountability to ensure accuracy of both Product Team costing and target profitability for each product line
- Ensure all health and safety requirements applicable in each market are adhered to, and relevant inspection/certification requirements are in place
- Ensure all product brand representation meets established company guidelines
- Actively participate in leadership and company strategic planning activities, and lead the development and implementation of departmental strategic plans
- Collaborate with A&K Destination Management Companies (DMC’s), hoteliers, tourist offices, and other suppliers to develop innovative and successful new product initiatives
- Maintain a broad and deep understanding of the competitive landscape on an ongoing basis, and lead periodic internal cross-functional understanding and awareness
- Provide strategic lead on achieving quality goals across all product lines with all DMC’s
- Ensure that the product management team obtains and maintains in-depth knowledge of their respective destinations through on-site research and development, and through market research
- Foster harmonious working relationships with A&K DMC’s, third-party suppliers, and other global departments
- Ensure systems are in place to ensure that all vendors are properly vetted, and financial relationships are contracted according to A&K expectations and legal requirements
- Review staffing requirements and ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Partner with the Human Resources Department to minimize staff turnover
- Extensive knowledge of business and industry practices
- Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Microsoft software skills required
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
- Must have at least 10 years of industry experience with at least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the competitive landscape
- In-depth knowledge of and experience in tour planning, pricing, and contracting.
- Yield management experience is a plus.
- Must maintain a valid passport
- Attendance at after-hours trade functions and site inspections
- Frequent and lengthy international travel is expected, sometimes on short notice
- Available to be on call 24/7 as required
- $180k–$225k; position is bonus eligible
