POSITION SUMMARY -
The Service Technician is a key role within the organization that is critical to the success of our ability to take care of customers, provide market insight, and client retention. In this role, you will be able to install equipment, repair a variety of printers, copiers, and scanners, set up new systems, perform routine maintenance, and resolve technical issues. As the Service Technician, it is important you act as a steward as you will be responsible for executing service calls in collaboration with your team, adjusting workflow procedures as required, and ensuring empathetic customer connections.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following.
- Set up and install printers, copiers, scanners, and copier management software
- Provide routine service and maintenance to printers, copiers, scanners, and other equipment as assigned by the Dispatcher
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems, cartridges, printers, and copiers
- Document all testing, repairs made, parts used/order on every service call in CRM
- Utilize tools provided to analyze and solve during service calls
- Provide on-site demonstrations during customer training on installs or as needed
- Manage car stock inventory of parts, materials, and supplies
- Provide excellent customer support and service
- Manage assigned appointments, schedules, and customer emergencies
- Maintain current knowledge of the latest technologies and practices in the industry
- Maintain fleet vehicle in accordance with company policy
- Assist other departments as needed
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Solid knowledge of copier and printer technology – 3 years in industry minimum (preferred, but not required)
- Strong Communication Skills

- High Attention to Detail
- Must remain calm, clear and in control in stressful situations
- Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
- Fluent in English (oral and written), other languages a plus

- Ability to adapt when unexpected situations arise
- Maintain a respectful workplace attitude and environment
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to provide customers and co-workers with in-depth training and support
- Adaptable interpersonal skillset to connect and build relationships with customers and colleagues

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
