The Digital Press/Printer Operator is responsible for the completion of specialized print projects in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate with the Production Team to prioritize, produce and complete job submissions
- Support operations and participate as a key player in daily Production Team workflow
- Communicate effectively with the Management, Supervisors, Production Team and Customers
- Operate the digital presses in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Collaborate with Production Team to ensure an understanding of the job order and set expectations of completion with all stakeholders
- Ability to adapt during seasonal peaks and unplanned situations
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated efficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and other design software
- Familiarity with handling digital files; able to create postscript files
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of design creation in Photoshop and/or Canva preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of mathematics and formulas for design work
- Proficiency in copier functions and bindery processes
