We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale utility transformation initiative focused on modernizing streetlight operations. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, improve business processes, support system implementations, and ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate has strong business analysis experience within utility or enterprise environments and is comfortable working in Agile teams while collaborating across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirement sessions with business, IT, and vendor teams.
- Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and recommend improvements.
- Support Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirement prioritization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify project risks, dependencies, and business impacts.
- Assist with system integration efforts across multiple enterprise applications.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
- Develop business process documentation, workflows, status reports, and project artifacts.
- Support data governance, data quality, and asset management initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business needs are effectively translated into technology solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of Business Analyst experience supporting technology implementation or business transformation projects.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience creating process flows, business process documentation, and user stories.
- Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience collaborating with business users, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard business analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the utilities, energy, or field operations industry.
- Experience with Customer Information Systems (CIS).
- Experience with SAP or Customer Account Management Systems (CAMS).
- Experience with Work Management Systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with Electric Office (EO) or similar engineering/design applications.
- Experience supporting asset management, customer service, or field operations initiatives.
- Experience with Salesforce, GIS, SAP, or enterprise utility applications.
- Understanding of system integrations, data governance, and data management concepts.
- Previous experience supporting large utility transformation programs is a plus.
