Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing mental health assessments
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic psychiatric conditions
- Prescribe and oversee psychiatric medications, including monitoring for efficacy and side effects
- Develop and adjust individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and treatment options
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and refer to community resources as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensure compliance with clinical, legal, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing
- Current Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
- Active Arizona Nurse Practitioner license or eligibility for licensure
- Current DEA registration, as required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care
