What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Director/Attending Physician Flexible Schedule, No Nights/Call, Skilled Nursing Sites position at AAS Healthcare Staffing?
Provide medical direction and attending care for residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Mishawaka, Indiana. Partner with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to oversee clinical care, perform evaluations and follow-ups, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered treatment across assigned facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as attending physician and clinical leader for assigned facilities
- Conduct on-site visits (typical volume 18–25 visits/day; physicians usually cover each facility 1–2 days/week)
- Review and authorize treatment plans, medication changes, and discharge or transfer decisions
- Provide supervision and consultation to advanced practice clinicians
- Complete timely documentation and participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities
- Coordinate with facility staff, families, and outside providers to optimize continuity of care
Schedule and work model
- Full-time position with flexible scheduling; no overnight shifts and no call
- No fixed daily start/end times
- Company provides an iPad with LTE for documentation

Qualifications
- MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
