Physician-led organization seeking a fellowship-trained locum orthopedic trauma surgeon to support a Level II Trauma Center in Glendale, AZ. The role emphasizes predictable scheduling, strong clinical support, and hospital-based patient care alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team.
Schedule
- 183 twenty-four-hour shifts annually
- Blocked scheduling with 7-day stretches
- Built-in recovery time between rotations
Clinical responsibilities
- Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
- Participate in trauma call coverage
- Manage a broad range of fractures and orthopedic injuries
- Coordinate care with trauma surgery, emergency medicine, hospitalists, and rehabilitation teams
- Balance operative cases, inpatient care, and follow-up clinic duties
- Maintain timely documentation and high-quality patient care
Requirements
- Board eligible or board certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Orthopedic trauma fellowship preferred
- Prior experience managing orthopedic trauma in a hospital setting
- Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
- Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
