We’re looking for an experienced Emergency Medicine physician to join our team on a locum tenens basis in Port Tampa, FL. This role offers flexibility, exposure to varied emergency settings, and the chance to deliver high-quality, time-sensitive care to patients of all ages.
What you’ll do:
- Provide comprehensive emergency care, including rapid assessments, focused physical exams, and review of medical histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Perform procedures as needed (minor surgical procedures, airway management, wound care, etc.) and manage medication administration.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, consultants, and ancillary services to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and disposition.
Who we’re looking for:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
- Active Florida medical license.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment.
