Responsibilities:
- Perform focused patient assessments, including history-taking, physical exams, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
- Stabilize and treat a broad spectrum of emergent conditions, initiating appropriate medications, procedures, and resuscitation measures.
- Perform minor surgical procedures as indicated (incision and drainage, suturing, etc.).
- Develop and implement treatment plans, coordinate with consultants, and facilitate safe dispositions.
- Provide clear documentation and timely communication with nursing staff, specialists, and patients’ families.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, quality measures, and patient-safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
- Active Florida medical license.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
