Full-time locum tenens role in Hackensack, NJ covering a leave of absence. Outpatient-only position with an established cardiac surgery team.
Compensation
- $125 per hour
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (rotating day off)
Clinical responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage preoperative and postoperative cardiac surgery patients
- Clinic volume: ~10 patients per day
- Perform minor postoperative procedures: wound debridement, wound packing placement
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and advanced practice providers to maintain continuity of care
Practice environment
- Team includes 5 cardiac surgeons and 5 outpatient APPs
- Clinical APN Manager oversight
- Coordination with inpatient NP/PA team
- Administrative and clinical support: clerical coordinators, scheduling staff, certified medical assistants, office supervisor, office manager
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with cardiac surgery experience
- Active New Jersey license
- Current DEA and CDS registration
- Outpatient or surgical practice experience managing cardiac surgery patients preferred
