Overview
Provide inpatient orthopedic trauma coverage, working with the care team to manage evaluations, operative care, consults, and discharges.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inpatient rounds and evaluate orthopedic trauma patients.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and follow-up.
- Respond to consults and assist with routine floor duties.
- Prepare patients for discharge and complete all discharge documentation and instructions.
- Support team procedures, including splinting, and collaborate with another APP.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-2:30 PM
- No call or holiday coverage
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification
- Active New Jersey PA license
- Current DEA and CDS registrations
- Orthopedic experience preferred
