This role supports a high-acuity trauma center and involves working with an experienced orthopedic trauma team in a collaborative, well-resourced setting.
Schedule
- 183 total 24-hour shifts annually
- Blocked scheduling with 7-day coverage stretches
- Built-in recovery time between rotations
Key responsibilities
- Provide operative and non-operative care for orthopedic trauma patients
- Participate in trauma call coverage for a high-acuity center
- Manage complex fracture care, including pelvic and acetabular injuries
- Coordinate care with trauma surgery, ICU, and emergency medicine teams
- Balance operative cases, inpatient management, and clinic follow-up
- Maintain timely documentation and uphold high standards of patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship
- Experience with high-acuity trauma preferred
- Strong expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture care highly preferred
- Eligible for Arizona medical license and able to obtain/maintain hospital privileges
