As part of our mission to deliver exceptional service and comfort for every driver, we are expanding our team with a Ford-Certified Electrical and Air Conditioning Specialist who excels in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Ford’s advanced electrical and HVAC systems.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical and A/C Service Technician to join our service department. This role focuses on the diagnosis and repair of vehicle electrical circuits, control modules, and climate control systems—including hybrid and EV components—ensuring Ford vehicles operate at peak performance. Ideal candidates will be skilled in electrical diagnostics, system programming, and A/C service using OEM tools and Ford’s advanced diagnostic software.

Responsibilities:

• Perform expert diagnosis and repair of vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, modules, and charging systems.
• Diagnose and service air conditioning systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerant recovery.
• Use Ford IDS/FDRS diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical and HVAC concerns.
• Perform software updates, reprogramming, and module calibrations as required.
• Conduct battery system testing and repairs, including hybrid and EV high-voltage components (if certified).
• Collaborate with service advisors to clearly explain technical findings and repair recommendations to customers.
• Maintain accurate service documentation per Ford and dealership standards.
• Follow safety procedures when handling refrigerants, high-voltage systems, and electrical components.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and uphold dealership and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

• Ford STARS certification required (Electrical and A/C systems focus preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical or HVAC systems, preferably on Ford vehicles.
• Proficiency with Ford diagnostic software (IDS/FDRS) and service publications.
• Understanding of advanced vehicle electrical systems, CAN bus communication, and control modules.
• EPA Section 609 Certification for refrigerant handling required.
• Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record.
• A.S.E. Certification(s) in Electrical/Electronic Systems (A6) and Heating & Air Conditioning (A7) highly preferred.

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
