Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide variety of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute precise repairs and installations.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
• Install new HVAC systems in compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
• Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, ensuring proper connections and leak prevention.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and welding equipment for component repairs.
• Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and schematics documentation.
• Support property maintenance efforts by addressing appliance repair needs and mechanical issues promptly.
• Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between sites.
• Apply mechanical skills to repair or replace components such as compressors, fans, valves, or thermostats.

Experience

• Proven service technician experience working with HVAC systems in commercial or residential settings.
• Construction background or experience with building systems integration is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration if applicable.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs.
• Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler operation, appliance repair, welding skills, and equipment repair.
• Field service experience demonstrating the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and familiarity with property maintenance procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred. Pay: $26.62 - $32.06 per hour
