Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide variety of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute precise repairs and installations.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Install new HVAC systems in compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, ensuring proper connections and leak prevention.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and welding equipment for component repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and schematics documentation.
- Support property maintenance efforts by addressing appliance repair needs and mechanical issues promptly.
- Operate a
driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between sites. - Apply mechanical skills to repair or replace components such as compressors, fans, valves, or thermostats.
Experience
- Proven service technician experience working with HVAC systems in commercial or residential settings.
- Construction background or experience with building systems integration is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration if applicable.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler operation, appliance repair, welding skills, and equipment repair.
- Field service experience demonstrating the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and familiarity with property maintenance procedures.
- Valid
