Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front-End, Brake, and Suspension Service Technician to join our service team. This role focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing suspension, steering, and braking systems on Ford vehicles. Ideal candidates are highly skilled in Ford chassis systems, wheel alignment, brake hydraulics, electronic brake control, and suspension geometry—ensuring every vehicle drives and handles to factory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform precise diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
- Conduct computerized wheel alignments and adjust suspension components to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect and service brake systems, including pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, and ABS systems.
- Diagnose and repair issues with electronic stability control (ESC), adaptive steering, and ride control systems.
- Replace and calibrate suspension components such as shocks, struts, control arms, and bushings.
- Perform road tests to verify repair quality and vehicle handling performance.
- Use Ford diagnostic tools and equipment to identify system faults and verify repairs.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle findings and repair recommendations.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and comply with dealership and OEM standards.
- Adhere strictly to safety, cleanliness, and environmental protocols.
Qualifications:
- Ford STARS certification required (Chassis/Brakes/Suspension focus preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in front-end, suspension, and brake repair—preferably on Ford vehicles.
- Proficiency with Ford diagnostic and alignment equipment (IDS/FDRS and Hunter systems preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of steering and suspension systems, including electric power steering and adaptive damping.
- Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record.
- A.S.E. Certification(s) in Suspension and Steering (A4) and Brakes (A5) highly preferred.
