Job Description Summary
The machine operator is responsible for operating production equipment according to all facility safety and quality standards.
Job Description
- Responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment.
- Select appropriate settings and adjust as necessary.
- Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and timely.
- Loads & unloads material to and from equipment according to prescribed methods.
- Inspects parts using precision measuring tools and for visual defects and certification marks.
- Clean machines & work area throughout and at the end of shift.
- Follows all safe work practices & safety rules.
- Follows established quality standards.
- Works collaboratively with team members, leaders, and others to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years working in a manufacturing environment, specifically operating CNC equipment.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality documents, set-up, and work instructions.
- Able to fill out charts and other simple documents and to successfully connect with team members.
- Ability to use computer terminals; gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
