Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to develop new business and expand existing customer relationships throughout an assigned territory. This individual will sell traditional staffing solutions, contract labor, project-managed services, direct placement, and turnkey work package solutions to ground transportation manufacturers and suppliers.
This is a true hunter role requiring a strong business development mindset, established manufacturing relationships, and the ability to identify workforce challenges while developing customized labor solutions that improve operational performance.
Essential Functions
- Develop new business opportunities with ground transportation manufacturers, OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and related industrial manufacturers.
- Build relationships with Plant Managers, Operations Managers, Manufacturing Managers, Production Managers, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Executive Leadership.
- Sell contract staffing, direct hire, contract-to-hire, managed workforce solutions, project-based labor, and turnkey work package solutions.
- Prospect through networking, referrals, cold calling, strategic account planning, trade shows, and industry associations.
- Generate and maintain a robust sales pipeline from prospecting through contract execution.
- Conduct customer site visits to understand manufacturing processes, production constraints, labor challenges, and operational goals.
- Collaborate with recruiting, operations, and project management teams to develop customized workforce solutions.
- Prepare customer presentations, proposals, pricing models, and service agreements.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term service agreements.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity forecasting, and customer activity.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue objectives.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing customer accounts.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of outside B2B sales experience.
- Proven success developing new business within manufacturing or industrial markets.
- Experience selling staffing, workforce solutions, project services, managed services, or industrial solutions.
- Existing relationships with manufacturing decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production environments, and workforce planning.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and close complex sales opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel throughout an assigned territory.
