Position Summary
AAA USA is seeking an experienced Process Engineer with a strong background in SAP Warehouse Management (WM/EWM), warehouse operations, and manufacturing process improvement to support a large-scale aerospace manufacturing operation. This position will play a critical role in optimizing warehouse, logistics, and manufacturing processes while supporting an enterprise SAP deployment and long-term operational transformation.
The ideal candidate has experience working in an aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environment, understands warehouse and material flow processes, and can bridge the gap between operations and SAP system functionality. This individual will work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, and IT teams to improve efficiency, inventory accuracy, and operational performance while supporting a multi-year SAP implementation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, and improve manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Evaluate current material flow and identify opportunities to reduce waste, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve operational performance using Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Design, document, and maintain standard operating procedures, process maps, work instructions, and best practices.
- Utilize SAP WM/EWM (Warehouse Management/Extended Warehouse Management) and related SAP modules to support warehouse operations, inventory management, production, and logistics activities.
- Support SAP implementation, deployment, enhancement, and optimization projects by partnering with operations, engineering, and IT teams.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), process validation, system testing, and deployment activities to ensure SAP solutions meet operational requirements.
- Gather business requirements and translate operational needs into SAP process improvement.
- Develop and analyze SAP reports and operational metrics to drive business decisions and continuous improvement.
- Maintain data integrity for Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, warehouse master data, inventory records, and work centers.
- Improve warehouse layouts, storage strategies, material handling, line-side delivery, kitting, and staging processes.
- Support inbound logistics including goods receipt, receiving, inventory transactions, and warehouse execution activities.
- Optimize outbound logistics, order picking, staging, shipping, and inventory movement processes.
- Lead inventory accuracy initiatives including cycle counting, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with supply chain, transportation, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to improve on-time delivery and operational performance.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), production transfers, production ramp-ups, and facility expansion projects.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality systems including AS9100, FAA/EASA requirements, and customer standards where applicable.
- Participate in internal and external audits by providing process documentation, data, and corrective action support.
- Train operators, warehouse personnel, supervisors, and business stakeholders on new processes and SAP functionality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical discipline
OR
Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, warehouse engineering, logistics engineering, or continuous improvement within an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
Experience working with SAP WM, SAP EWM, or SAP S/4HANA Warehouse Management.
Experience supporting warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Willingness to travel between operational and project locations as required.
Ability to support a long-term deployment expected to continue through at least 2027.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace, aviation, defense, or space manufacturing experience.
Experience supporting enterprise SAP implementations or large ERP transformation projects.
Experience with SAP MM, PP, WM, EWM, or S/4HANA.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience with warehouse automation, MES, barcode/RF technologies, or digital manufacturing systems.
