Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Professional to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health and behavioral support to individuals, particularly focusing on children and families. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of those they serve through effective counseling and support strategies. Must have MCR certification to serve Warsaw and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and intake evaluations to determine individual needs and treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy, including individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Crisis Intervention techniques.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, including those with developmental disabilities, PTSD, and addiction issues.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on various topics such as grief counseling, behavioral management, and art therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients in inpatient or outpatient settings.
- Engage in clinical research activities to enhance service delivery and therapeutic outcomes.
- Provide direct support to clients during crisis situations while employing effective crisis management strategies.
- Stay informed about current best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Licensure or certification relevant to the practice of psychotherapy or counseling is required with Mobile Crisis Training.
- Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children and families in clinical settings is essential.
- Proficiency in various therapeutic approaches including but not limited to psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, patient care protocols, and case management processes.
- Strong understanding of developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, geriatrics, and chronic pain management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
