ASSISTANT YARD/SHOP AND FIELD MECHANIC
Job Summary:
The Assistant Yard/Shop Mechanic will provide duties when needed in our yard along with light maintenance
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Maintains vehicles, trailers and organizing the yard.
· Perform routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
· Identifies mechanical problems visually.
· Examines critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.
· Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, and other mechanical parts.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Loading and unloading trailers.
· Loads and unloads material when needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to read service and repair manuals.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Driver's license is required.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
· Must be able to work safely in a noisy area.
Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
