SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in landscaping or ground maintenance activities.

- Directs activities of workers who perform duties such as mowing turf, mulching, weed, trash removal, tree/shrub installation and pruning.
- Monitors project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained.
- Manages inventory of tools, equipment, or materials to ensure that sufficient supplies are available.
- Ensures all equipment is maintained and in usable condition.
- Trains, motivates, develops, and directs team as they work.
- Evaluates each team member to provide career development feedback.
- Monitors/assesses performance of others and/or organization to make improvements or takes corrective action.
- Transports crew members to different job sites in assigned vehicles.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
- Valid State of Illinois drivers’ license.
- Other skills required:
- 3 years’ experience in Landscaping. (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Monitoring of team members to ensure work quality.
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult and complex situations.
- Manage one's own time and the time of others.
- Observe safety and security procedures.
- Use equipment and materials properly (i.e., lawn mowers, cutting tools, chain saw).
- Saturday work hours may be required.
Salary : $20 - $23
