Junior Accountant (For-Profit Division)

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Junior Accountant to join our for-profit division. This role is ideal for candidates with a degree in accounting who are eager to kickstart their career in a dynamic and professional environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Process journal entries and ensure proper documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to complete the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Review and verify invoices and assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Prepare account reconciliations, including bank statements and other financial reports.
• Provide support during audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Controller.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Internship or minimal work experience in an accounting role preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with NetSuite is a plus).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
