Job Overview
A.R. Mazzotta is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist for a full-time temporary opportunity in Hartford, CT. This position supports the financial operations of multiple companies, with responsibilities spanning bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll, and financial recordkeeping.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing accounting records across multiple companies and accounts. Experience with QuickBooks and Sage is important for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records for multiple companies and accounts.
- Process invoices and support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Assist with payroll processing and related documentation.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
- Enter, review, and maintain financial data with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist with account reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Handle confidential financial information appropriately.
- Provide general accounting support as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Experience using QuickBooks and Sage accounting software.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payroll.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage financial records for multiple companies and accounts.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional handling of confidential financial information.
