An established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead its quality function. This opportunity is available due to the upcoming retirement of the current manager, offering the chance to take ownership of quality programs, support employee development, and help maintain high standards for products and customer satisfaction.
We are looking for a hands-on quality professional who combines strong technical knowledge with collaborative leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct, plan, and coordinate quality control programs to ensure products meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations.
- Lead and support quality inspection activities, ensuring procedures and policies are consistently followed.
- Apply knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards and manufacturing quality systems.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to quality team members, encouraging professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with internal departments and customers to address quality concerns and maintain effective working relationships.
- Support consistent quality practices, documentation, and adherence to established procedures.
- Organize and coordinate quality activities while balancing priorities and business needs.
- Travel as required, including occasional international travel.
Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant quality control or quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Degree in Quality Engineering or a related field; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and manufacturing quality systems.
- Hands-on quality inspection experience, including familiarity with standard inspection equipment and measurement tools.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection procedures, policies, and practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor employees and encourage team development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Bilingual English / Spanish skills are a plus.
