What You'll Do as a Billing Specialist
In this role, you help keep our office running efficiently by managing essential billing and administrative processes. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing and auditing billing and payment information for accounts payable and receivable
- Processing physician orders received by fax or mail
- Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Auditing MRC and MCO files as needed
- Reviewing and organizing patient charts to ensure accuracy
- Tracking physician orders for billing coordination
- Participating in weekly case conferences when required
- Assisting with general office duties such as answering phones and distributing mail
- Serving as a backup scheduler and entering referrals when needed

Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related health or financial field
- At least 2 years of experience in medical records or healthcare billing
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and email
