Position SummaryThe Patient Access Representative (PAR) is responsible for performing front-end registration activities to ensure accurate patient information, insurance verification, financial clearance, and exceptional customer service. This role will support preregistration workflows, verify patient coverage, update demographic information, and collect patient financial responsibility. The position is temporary and on-site, with potential weekend requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive preregistration for scheduled services.Complete insurance verification, including commercial plans, PPO/HMO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Workers’ Compensation.Conduct Third Party Liability (TPL) screening.Confirm and document Medi-Cal and Medicare eligibility using required systems.Notify patients of their estimated financial responsibility.Collect copays, deductibles, deposits, and cash package payments in accordance with department guidelines.Contact patients to update demographics, validate coverage, and confirm required documentation.Obtain and record accurate insurance information and consent forms.Provide high-quality customer service while addressing patient inquiries or concerns.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and organizational compliance standards.Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient patient flow.Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.
