Job Overview
We are seeking a flexible and reliable Receptionist to join our team. This role requires excellent customer service, administrative support skills, and the ability to work across multiple locations within a 35-mile radius. Candidates must be adaptable to changing schedules and daily assignment locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Perform client check-in/check-out, including:
- Verifying insurance eligibility
- Updating insurance and demographic information
- Collecting co-pays and outstanding balances
- Providing receipts and submitting cash sheets
- Notifying staff of client arrival
- Schedule client appointments and manage calendars
- Enter and update staff schedules
- Conduct administrative intake, distribute and collect intake forms
- Answer phone calls, emails, and respond to inquiries promptly
- Process referrals to specialists
- Complete daily appointment reminder calls
- Handle prior authorizations and PTIs
- Manage case transfers and closures in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Send, receive, and distribute faxes and mail
- Scan and upload documents into EMR systems
- Assist providers with letters, documentation, and referrals
- Maintain calendars for meetings, vacations, and conferences
- Support team operations and perform additional administrative duties as needed
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Associate’s Degree (Preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent receptionist or administrative experience (preferably in healthcare)
