POSITION OVERVIEW
The Spec 1, In-House Service professional is responsible for executing remote field action remediation, including software and firmware deployment, device configuration, and other remote remediation activities. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, customer interaction experience, and strict adherence to documentation and regulatory standards.
LOCATION: Remote in Texas
PAY RATE: $36.00 per hour
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- End Date: June 30, 2026
- Employment Type: Temp to Perm (opportunity to extend or go permanent based on business needs)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute field action remediation, including remote software and firmware deployment
- Configure devices in RSS and perform other remote remediation activities
- Maintain accurate and detailed service ticket documentation
- Complete all required service documentation in a timely manner
- Interface and collaborate with advanced support specialists as needed
- Build effective working relationships across functions and locations
- Deliver high-quality work while adhering to established standards and procedures
- Demonstrate adaptability in diverse environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Prioritize workload effectively and work independently when required
- Follow procedures and processes within an FDA-regulated environment
- Assist in developing and improving processes, procedures, job aids, and knowledge articles
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- Maintain reporting tools and metric tracking systems with accurate, up-to-date data
- Communicate effectively with customers, build rapport, and respond to needs appropriately
- Seek opportunities to expand skills and contribute to organizational initiatives
- Develop, update, and maintain process documentation
- Assist with peer training as needed
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE APPLYING
- This role supports remote remediation and technical service activities
- Work is performed in a regulated (FDA) environment with strict process adherence
- Strong documentation, reporting, and customer communication are critical to success
- The role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally
- Prior experience troubleshooting electronic systems is strongly preferred
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
- Education in Computer Science, Technology, Healthcare, or equivalent work experience
- 2–3 years of proven applied experience in a technical service or support role
- Goal-oriented and action-focused mindset
- English proficiency (read, write, and speak)
- Strong analytical and logical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with application/software packaging and deployment
- Desktop and system support services experience
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and domain security
- Experience with remote access tools (including Bomgar)
- Knowledge of cloud computing, SQL, Windows/Unix/Linux environments, and SQL scripting preferred
- 3–5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems preferred
