REVENUE CYCLE & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Centennial CO 80112 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $22 /hr – based on experience
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
REVENUE CYCLE & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Revenue Cycle & Collections Specialist will support the revenue cycle team with a focus on collections, denials, appeals, and credit balance reconciliation. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys digging into data, solving complex billing issues, and improving process efficiency—without direct management responsibilities.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

REVENUE CYCLE & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support day-to-day collections operations, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up on outstanding accounts.
- Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in A/R, denial rates, and collection efficiency.
- Collaborate with billing, coding, registration, and finance teams to streamline workflows and resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Conduct root cause analysis on claim denials and payment delays; recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with payer regulations, HIPAA, and internal policies.
- Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation of revenue cycle tools and technologies.
REVENUE CYCLE & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) | Some college is a plus
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 1 year of experience in medical collections with a working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.
- Proven experience in medical collections, denials, and appeals.
- Strong knowledge of credit balance reconciliation and revenue cycle processes.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial data and generating actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of automated billing systems; experience with CPR preferred
- Working knowledge and application of metric measurements, basic accounting practices, ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS coding
- Solid Microsoft Office skills required, including Word, Excel and Outlook
