Junior Systems Analyst (Agile / Scrum Support)
📍 Location: Lansing, MI
💲 Pay Rate: $40–$45/hour (W-2 No C2C or third party candidates)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Systems Analyst to join an Agile team, supporting business analysis, quality assurance, and Scrum activities. This role requires hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) and the ability to gather, document, and validate business requirements while working across technical and non-technical teams.
This position is ideal for someone with 3 years of experience who is looking to continue growing within BA, QA, and Agile delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Create process flows, use cases, and user stories with acceptance criteria
- Translate business needs into technical requirements for development teams
- Support analysis of current (as-is) and future-state (to-be) processes
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases
- Execute functional, integration, and regression testing
- Log and track defects through resolution
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate delivered solutions
Agile & Scrum Support
- Support Scrum activities including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Utilize Azure DevOps (or Jira) to manage epics, features, and user stories
- Track progress and ensure work items move through the Agile lifecycle
- Collaborate with project managers on documentation and deliverables
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with developers, PMs, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
- Assist with system demos, training materials, and production validation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, QA, or Systems Analysis
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools (e.g., Jira)
- Understanding of BA, QA, and Development roles and responsibilities
- Experience with as-is/to-be process documentation
- Exposure to test case creation and UAT support
- Familiarity with tools such as Visio, Figma, or similar
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Scrum teams
- Exposure to product roadmaps or backlog management
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
