📍 Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Hybrid)

💰 Rate: $60–$70/hr on W-2

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to support the development and enhancement of enterprise applications. This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, defining system requirements, and supporting system improvements across complex environments, with a strong focus on healthcare-related systems.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in claims processing, medical coding, and system configuration, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and user needs to define system scope and objectives
• Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements
• Perform workflow analysis and process optimization
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve system issues and inefficiencies
• Support the design, development, and implementation of new or enhanced information systems
• Participate in various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application and system issues
• Stay current with evolving business needs and industry trends
• Provide guidance and support to junior analysts as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or related roles
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
• Strong understanding of business processes and workflow analysis
• Experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must-Have Skills

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective time management and prioritization abilities
• Expert-level knowledge of Facets claims processing and configuration
• Extensive experience with medical coding and billing
• Moderate knowledge of clinical editing processes
• Experience with Optum CES or other clinical editing vendor tools
• Ability to analyze complex issues and drive resolution strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 3 years of experience in business or systems analysis
• Experience participating in full system implementations
• Background in healthcare, life sciences, or information systems
• Experience working in cross-functional, collaborative environments
