Then we’ve got an exciting opportunity to tell you about. We’re looking for a Premium Audit Specialist to join our team!

What You'll Do

The Premium Audit Specialist is a field position responsible for conducting complete, accurate, and timely Workers’ Compensation audits within an assigned geographic territory. Other responsibilities include contributing to the efforts of the regional service team and resolving any audit disputes as assigned by the Premium Audit Supervisor. This is considered a field position and is typically fully remote.

  • Schedule field audits selected from the case load of assigned audits.
  • Complete assigned audit cases while meeting and exceeding company quality standards within strict deadlines.
  • Utilize the Visual Audit software to prepare, schedule and document each audit as well as electronically communicate the progress and finished product.
  • Classify each audited customer operation and all employees correctly in accordance with NCCI and Mass WC rules and regulations.
  • Verify audit results using various sources of customer financial records such as tax, general ledger, payroll, disbursements.
  • Conduct additional research as needed; web search, walk through of physical location, etc.
  • Develop and apply knowledge of various bureau rulings and company directives.
  • Notify Underwriting Department of changing financial or hazard conditions of a specific customer.
  • Review claims to insure proper classification and premium charges for each claimant.
  • Complete accurate and detailed monthly expense and mileage reports.

What You Bring

  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience as a Workers’ Compensation Premium Auditor, but we will train the right person.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as organize and prioritize work.
  • The ability to succeed in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, etc.), experience with Visual Audit software.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
