Multistate Agency seeks a Violations Evidence Compiler

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals Department's Revenue Recovery Group is responsible for collecting all revenues owed to The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for vehicular travel across our bridges and tunnels. This group supports PANYNJ's financial policy and service performance standards for the E- ZPass Customer Service Center. To help facilitate these efforts, the Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals Department's Revenue Recovery Group is seeking a Violations Evidence Compiler to assist with various aspects of gathering, documenting, and reporting information from our proprietary back-office system. This role involves capturing screenshots, annotating relevant data, and compiling structured reports to support reviews, investigations, and hearings.  These tasks require a compiler who has both research and analytical experience.
 
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Supervisor of the Revenue Recovery  Programs  for E-ZPass Operations, the selected candidate will support the toll collection program with specific responsibilities for assisting in toll violations recovery and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle (NY DMV) vehicle suspension program. The selected candidate will aid in real-time pursuit of violators through the following activities:

*    Access and navigate a proprietary back-office system to locate relevant data and activity logs
*    Capture and organize clear, high-quality screenshots of relevant transactions, payments and notes.
*    Compile supporting documentation (screenshots, violation letters, etc.) for vehicle registration suspension of persistent violators through the NY DMV registration suspension program
*    Add concise and accurate notes or context to ensure clarity and traceability
*    Compile all collected evidence into a standardized report format
*    Conduct research of violation accounts using proprietary reporting systems
*    Ensure reports are complete, accurate, and delivered on time
*    Follow internal protocols and escalation procedures where necessary
*    Communicate with team members and managers to clarify requirements or findings
*    Make appropriate modifications to documents based upon feedback
*    Track and monitor approvals for reporting purposes
*    Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

*    Strong attention to detail
*    Ability to quickly learn and navigate proprietary systems
*    Excellent written communication skills
*    Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
*    High degree of professionalism and discretion with sensitive information

Desired

*    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
*    Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative, compliance, or operational support roles is a plus.    Recent graduates with demonstrated expertise will also be considered
*    Experience with documentation or report preparation in regulated or process-driven environments is highly desired.

*    Proficiency in MS Excel and/or MS Access is desired
*    Experience with account management and payments processing
*    Excellent written and oral communication skills
*    Microsoft Office applications proficiency
*    Strong research, analytical and organization skills
*    Ability to gather data, perform process analysis, and provide recommendations
*    Strong organizational, verbal, presentation, and written skills
*    Strong time-management skills and problem-solving skills
*    Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
*    Demonstrated productivity in a team environment
*    Process-orientation with a strong bias for action
*    Knowledge of toll systems and/or back-office operations is a plus
