Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula tailored to early childhood development and individual student needs
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across subjects such as math, literacy, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Manage classroom behavior to create a positive and productive learning environment
- Support children with special needs through early intervention strategies and individualized instruction
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instruction
- Foster effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student welfare and educational goals
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral incidents
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to childcare regulations and best practices in child welfare
- Incorporate classroom management techniques that promote discipline, respect, and cooperation among students
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends, including tutoring techniques, preschool experience, and daycare best practices
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or daycare environments is required
- Background in early childhood education or preschool teaching is preferred
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies such as Montessori or other educational frameworks is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education needs, behavior management techniques, and early intervention programs enhances candidacy
- Strong communication skills necessary for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and students
- Proven ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners including toddlers, preschoolers, or students requiring additional support in literacy or math skills
