Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development and learning
- Support classroom management by maintaining organized, clean, and stimulating environments
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities
- Provide basic first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary, following mandated reporting laws and safety protocols
- Engage children in play-based learning activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management, and classroom experience is essential
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is required or obtainable upon hire
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education is a plus
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the childcare environment
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, toddler care, infant care, and classroom management techniques
- Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and safety standards for childcare providers
