What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teaching Assistant position at Zion Child Development Center?
- Assist other qualified staff members with the care and education of the child, but shall not have responsibility for a group of children.
- Work under the continuous supervision of a qualified staff member who qualifies, at minimum as a Assistant Teacher.
- Directly responsible to and under the supervision of the Director and the Teacher.
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Be enrolled in the WVTCECE program or its equivalent after hire.
- Must pass a background and protective services check
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assist teachers in programs and activities
2. Supervise children's play as directed.
3. Prepare equipment and supplies
4. Watch over sleeping children
5. Serve meals and snacks
