65 year old male who wants a caregiver to take him out in the community to run errands. Client wants to go to Walmart every visit. Caregiver must have reliable transportation and be willing to take the client out at every visit. Client lives in a temporary housing situation and needs assistance in the community.
Caregiver will receive mileage reimbursement for all miles @ $0.35/mile

Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support individuals with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Monitor and document changes in clients’ health conditions through patient observation.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Assist clients with memory care strategies for those experiencing dementia or cognitive impairments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification or training in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
