Duties
- Provide direct support to clients in personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in assisted living or group home settings.
- Support individuals with memory care needs by implementing appropriate care strategies tailored to their unique requirements.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to the supervising staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in direct support roles is preferred, particularly in senior care or personal care homes.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments or group homes is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- A compassionate nature and strong communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
