Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing ingredients, following menu plans, and supporting the overall food preparation process to ensure high-quality meals are served efficiently. This role is essential in maintaining food safety standards and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Prior experience in dietary departments, food service, or the food industry is highly valued.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and components according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Support cooking activities by following established procedures and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas
- Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient ordering as needed
- Support catering events and special meal requests
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients and prepared items
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles; restaurant or kitchen experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with menu planning and food industry best practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and support kitchen team members effectively
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
