 Overview:
A Advanced Septic & Construction is seeking a motivated, dependable, and trainable individual to join our team as a Drain Cleaning Technician. This is an entry-level opportunity; no prior drain cleaning or septic experience is required. We will train the right candidate to become a skilled technician. You will work alongside experienced team members to learn hands-on skills, operate specialized equipment, perform hydro-jetting, conduct video inspections, document work, and provide professional customer service. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, professionalism, and a strong willingness to learn. This position includes full-time hours, on-call rotations, and overtime opportunities.

They are comfortable working in hands-on, physically demanding environments, have a mechanical aptitude or enjoy working with tools, and remain calm under pressure and in confined spaces.  Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic maintenance on drain cleaning equipment, including changing cables on machines and replacing hoses on jetters
• Clear mainline drains, septic and sewer using cables and jetters
• Diagnose drain problems and utilize equipment (sewer cameras, locators) to identify drain line issues
• Perform drain cleaning and unclogging services for various systems
• Conduct minor to complex services
• Work with blueprints and job specifications
• Determine proper materials and quantities for new and ongoing projects
• Keep the company vehicle and equipment serviced, clean, and in optimal working order
• Be punctual, prepared, and ready to work at the start of each day
• Maintain professional and respectful communication with customers, office staff, and co-workers
• Participate in company and technical meetings

Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude or experience using basic hand tools
• Ability to work inside and outside, in various weather conditions
• Comfortable working in septic and sewage environments
• Comfortable climbing in and out of crawl spaces
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Friendly, personable, and able to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks, including pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects
• Availability for emergency services, on-call shifts, nights, and weekends
• Eligible to operate a company vehicle:
  • Valid Driver's License
    • 3 years of driving experience with a valid license (permit time does not qualify) with a clean driving record (MVR)
    • Or, 5 years with a valid driver’s license must have an acceptable driving record (MVR) – insurance purposes
• Pass a background check
• Participate in our pre-employment and random drug screenings

Schedule:

• 10-hour shift
• 8-hour shift
• Day shift (Monday to Friday)
• On-call shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
