Since its formation in 1994, Rocky Mountain Pavement has been Colorado's premier contractor in providing asphalt maintenance services to both commercial and private customers, specializing in asphalt paving and patching, emulsion manufacturing, hot-pour crack seal, sealcoat, striping, and concrete repairs.


General Description:

Our company is searching for an IT Support Manager or Senior IT Support Administrator who is responsible for overseeing and supporting all aspects of the company’s information technology infrastructure across three Colorado locations serving approximately 70 users. This role is hands-on and strategic, combining day-to-day IT support with system administration, cybersecurity oversight, vendor management, and technology planning.


The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can manage networks, servers, cloud systems, cybersecurity, and end-user support while controlling costs and improving system reliability.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Systems Management

· Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including servers running SQL databases (Access and Foundations Accounting)

· Administer virtual servers supporting remote users

· Printer and Copy Machine Management

· Oversee PC and endpoint management (deployment, updates, lifecycle management, patching)

· Manage Wireless Access Points (WAPs) across all locations

· Administer Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, security, licensing)

· Maintain and support Access databases and integration with SQL-based systems

· Ensure reliable operation of timecard applications used by field employees

· Phone System Management (Ring Central)


Network & Security

· Manage Fortinet VPN for secure remote access

· Oversee Lumen Internet services with Comcast and vendor coordination

· Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls, endpoint protection, MFA, and access controls

· Manage cloud backup services and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness

· Lead employee cybersecurity training and awareness programs

· Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents


Backup & Disaster Recovery

· Manage and test backup systems (cloud and on-prem)

· Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans

· Ensure compliance with data retention and security policies


IT Operations & Support

· Serve as escalation point for help desk issues while providing direct support as needed

· Support users across three locations with both onsite and remote assistance

· Create and maintain IT documentation, procedures, and asset inventories


Budgeting, Purchasing & Vendor Management

· Drive computer and IT equipment purchasing decisions

· Control and optimize subscription and licensing spending

· Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage renewals

· Recommend cost-effective technology solutions aligned with business needs


Strategy & Continuous Improvement

· Assess current IT systems and recommend improvements

· Plan for scalability, security, and future technology needs

· Align IT initiatives with business and operational goals


Education, Training, and Experience

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information systems, or related field (preferred)

· We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.


Experience:

· Minimum 5 years of progressive IT support, systems administration, or IT management experience.

· Strong experience with Windows Servers, SQL databases, and virtualized environments

· Hands-on experience with Office 365 administration

· Experience supporting multi-location organizations


Skills, Knowledge, and Equipment:

· Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices

· Experience managing VPNs (Fortinet preferred)

· Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, documentation, and communication skills

· Excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills

· Able to work with multiple divisions throughout the company structure.

· Lifting computer equipment up to 50 lbs.


Hiring Range $110,000-$120,000
