Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and HVAC systems using detailed schematics and technical manuals.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to identify issues related to refrigeration, plumbing, power tools, and equipment repair.
- Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and ladder logic to troubleshoot complex appliance systems effectively.
- Conduct maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks to ensure appliances are functioning optimally.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, or assemble appliances on-site or in the field.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair processes, timelines, and maintenance tips to enhance customer service experience.
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs performed, parts used, and follow-up requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or appliance repair specialist with a strong background in appliance troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of schematics, ladder use, refrigeration systems, HVAC principles, plumbing connections, electrical wiring, and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with field service operations including delivery driver experience or working with box trucks preferred.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and interpret electrical schematics accurately.
- Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools necessary for appliance assembly and repair tasks.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Experience working with equipment such as HVAC units or similar mechanical systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with delivery driver experience preferred; comfortable operating box trucks or similar vehicles.
